Phuong Tham

COUNTRY DIRECTOR, VIET NAM

Phuong Tham leads HSI’s efforts to protect wildlife, promote better welfare for farm animals, end the trade of companion animals for meat, include animals in disaster preparedness plans and promote humane ways for humans and elephants to coexist. She joined HSI to make the world a better place for animals.

Before joining HSI, she coordinated programs for various organizations, including the German Technical Cooperation, the World Wildlife Fund and the International Union for Conservation of Nature. With her knowledge of government structure, she continues to build coalitions to help address animal issues of mutual concern. She lives in Hanoi with her family.
