Alokparna Sengupta

Alokparna Sengupta manages a wide range of programs in India, including campaigns to end factory farming and animal testing and to increase protections for wildlife and street animals. Before joining HSI/India as the manager of the Be Cruelty-Free campaign in 2012, she worked to end animal experimentation at the Federation of Indian Animal Protection Organisations.

A biotechnologist with a background in law and nonprofit management, she lives in Hyderabad with her two cats, son and husband. In her spare time, she reads, tries to write children’s stories, watches crime documentaries and listens to podcasts.
