Iga Glazewska
COUNTRY DIRECTOR, POLAND
Iga Glazewska leads efforts to strengthen Poland’s anti-cruelty laws, raise welfare standards for farmed animals, end fur farming, increase wildlife protections and advance other key campaigns.
After graduating from the University of Warsaw with a law degree, Glazewska worked for legal firms and volunteered for animal advocacy nonprofits. She joined HSI in 2019, and her dream of working full-time on animal protection became a reality.
She studied Animal Law at the Center for Animal Law Studies at Lewis & Clark Law School, where she received the International Advocates Animal Law LLM Scholarship and earned an Animal Law LLM degree. A strong supporter of an interdisciplinary approach to animal studies, she completed studies in comparative psychology at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Research in Animal and Human Behaviour.
