Cindy Dent

Cindy expands HSI’s programs worldwide and has been influential in launching diverse programs in Brazil, El Salvador, Nepal and  Bangladesh, among others. As a part of her regular responsibilities, Cindy liaises with staff to develop programs and processes to support campaigns that help farm animals, wildlife, marine mammals and companion animals. Previously, Cindy was the executive director of HSI/Latin America. She has been with HSI for over 14 years and was instrumental in laying the groundwork for the organization’s first programs in Central America, including the first international anti-dog fighting campaign, in Costa Rica. Cindy also spearheaded the passage of animal welfare legislation in Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala and Costa Rica.
